CTMC Briefs Survey Reveals High Reader Satisfaction The Readers’ Survey from CTMC’s spring 2008 issue of Hill Country Health received outstanding feedback from its readers. The results from the online reader survey showed an increase in satisfaction in five areas of interest. “I am very pleased with the responses we received,” says Clay DeStefano, CTMC administrative director of PR and Marketing. “This year we had a much higher response rate, and several readers felt that Hill Country Health greatly increased their knowledge of not only our facility, but also general guidelines for healthy living.” This year, readers who responded to the survey were entered to win a $150 Target gift card. The lucky winners were Cathy Allen, Katie Jung and Katie Cox. Watch for a new Readers’ Survey in the spring 2009 issue and let us know us what you think! Luci Baines Johnson will address a special Valentine’s luncheon on Feb. 9. Luci Baines Johnson to Speak The CTMC Hospice Advisory Board has selected Luci Baines Johnson to speak at its annual “Have a Heart for Hospice” Valentine luncheon Feb. 9. The former first daughter will speak on the value of community service and its effect on her life. The luncheon, which raises funds to support CTMC Hospice Outreach programs, is moving to a new location to accommodate a larger audience. The 2009 event will be held at the new Embassy Suites and Conference Center on McCarty Lane in San Marcos. In addition to Johnson’s presentation, the event will feature a delicious lunch and opportunities to win numerous door prizes. Individual tickets and table sponsorship opportunities are available. For more information, please call Lisa Adams at (512) 754-6159. Local Art Featured at CTMC CTMC, in partnership with the San Marcos Art League, is now featuring a rotating art show on display throughout the hospital. Works of local artists are hung in a variety of public corridors and waiting areas to help create a more localflavored and soothing environment. “We are thrilled to have this opportunity to display our works at CTMC,” says Veronique Zehnder-Hahn, San Marcos Art League Chair. “People were already stopping to admire and inquire about the art as we were hanging the pieces on the walls!” A new display is slated for the hospital’s holiday activities, including the annual San Marcos Chamber of Commerce Holiday Mixer on Dec. 1 For more information about the 1. art on display or the Christmas Mixer, please call (512) 753-3676 or visit ctmc.org.
