Award shows, arts and sports. Events at
JW Marriott hotels are always extreme.
Masterpieces in Mexico City
The JW MARRIOTT MEXICO CITY SANTA FE was privileged to share an
exclusive preview of a private exhibition featuring Latin American Art that
was later auctioned at Christie’s New York. Featuring works from important
Latin American artists including Diego Rivera, Rufino Tamayo and Fernando
Botero, the public exhibition was among several over the past year that
Christie’s has held at JW hotels around the world, providing one-of-a-kind
opportunities for guests to experience the worlds of art, auction and beyond.
The JW Marriott Mexico City Santa Fe was a natural fit to host the city’s first
JW-Christie’s art event—its own extensive collection of Latin American Art is
on permanent display for Mexico City’s art lovers to enjoy.
Stars Turn Out for the Pride
of Britain
Marking its 14th year with a televised, star-studded gala at the
JW MARRIOTT LONDON GROSVENOR HOUSE, The Daily Mirror’s Pride
of Britain Awards honored heroes from everyday life, including Olympic
and Paralympic athletes, Coastguard volunteers, octogenarian fundraisers,
soldiers and ordinary citizens providing random acts of bravery and
kindness. Attended by HRH Prince Charles, Prime Minister David Cameron,
Sir Michael Caine, Sir Elton John and David Beckham, among others, the
high-profile event inspired guests with breathtaking stories of heroism and
courage, uplifting and moving moments and electrifying entertainment.
A Grand Andean Welcome
Jon Bon Jovi and Pride of Britain presenter and TV personality Carol Vorderman present Natalia

murdered mother’s memory by donating her own healthy kidney to a stranger, saving his life.
J WM MAGAZINE
With the Andes providing a dramatic backdrop both inside and out, the
JW MARRIOTT CUSCO announced its arrival in the Peruvian capital with
great fanfare. The Andean Mystic theme suited the night well, as the hotel
is located in what used to be the 16th-century Saint Augustine convent.
Guests invited to the hotel’s grand opening gala were treated to sumptuous
local cuisine along with some of Cusco’s greatest performing artists,
including contemporary Peruvian musician Lucho Quequezana and his
immensely entertaining multicultural band.
