The Swan Point resident gathers a group of spirited friends and family members to host a poker tournament in memory of her dad, who was a patient at UM Charles Regional Medical Center, and it’s always a fun-filled evening. The proceeds are earmarked to the Foundation’s Annual Campaign, which runs yearly from July 1 through June 30. Flo and her family get it: They know that the Foundation relies on the generosity of the community to sustain the medical center’s margin of excellence, and that’s why events like this tournament make such an impact. Gifts—no matter the size—support extraordinary opportunities, such as increasing technology, enhancing facilities, and expanding programs and services to provide the highest-quality care to patients, including those unable to pay.
