Throughout our organization, patients have access to more than 45 medical and surgical specialties. This year marked the debut of a new Mobile Mammography Unit, equipped with the latest in digital technology, that travels to NMHS community hospitals, affiliated clinics and area industries to provide area women easy access to digital mammography. NMHS has been designated as one of the nation’s Most Wired health organizations for the 10th consecutive year. Information technology enhancements at all NMHS locations help improve efficiency, quality and safety of care while helping to control costs. This technology is an important component of NMHS’ quality and safety initiatives. The opening of the Clinic at Walmart, LLC, operated by North Mississippi Clinics, LLC, in Columbus marks Mississippi’s first medical clinic in the national retail chain.
