Improve prevention and health education
services. Improve health outcomes
NMHS received the 2012 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award,
the nation’s highest Presidential honor for performance excellence
through innovation, improvement and visionary leadership. North
Mississippi Medical Center, NMHS’ flagship hospital, won the Baldrige
Award in 2006. Not only are NMHS and NMMC the only Baldrige
recipients in Mississippi, they hold the distinction of being the only
hospital then health care organization to receive the award in Baldrige’s
25-year history.
A national study by Truven Health Analytics links hospitals that adopt and
use the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence to successful operations,
management practices and overall performance.
