BRIAN O'NEILL, '99 BSMUS
Percussionist Brian O'Neill, '99 BSMUS
(pictured at right on the far left),
is a member of Mr. Ho's Orchestrotica, a
global jazz and exotic chamber music
quartet. The group recently released its
third album, Where Here Meets There, a
"deliciously demented" album that harkens
to a musical era that never existed-
combining elements of '50s and '60s
armchair safari-ism along with futuristic
rhythms. "I love the root of the genre: being
an outsider who invents imaginary moods
and places through music. I think our sound
is a modern upgrade on the past, rather than a tribute," Brian says.
