That’s 18 years. But given the realities of Manhattan living — the weather, the traffic, the lack of a golf course in Greenwich Village — 1995 to 2013 feels like seven months in actual golf time. At the end of every summer, as area courses close and we pack away our clubs for the season, my husband, Sean, and I convince ourselves we have finally gotten somewhere with the sport — only to wonder the next April where our beautiful swings went. This year, we decided to look for them at the Tom Faziodesigned Members Golf Club at The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota in Florida.
