editor's letter The Wonder of Weddings one of my favorite parts of my job is the opportunity I've had to travel, often seeing guests enjoying a memorable experience at Ritz-Carlton properties around the world. Sometimes, I get swept up in the moment myself - particularly when I'm fortunate enough to happen upon a wedding. On a recent trip to Key Biscayne, I looked out from my balcony to see a spectacular wedding taking place in the courtyard below. The hundreds of guests were rapt during the moving ceremony, and as the bride and groom stood below a magniﬁcent chuppah overlooking the shimmering ocean, I found myself getting teary-eyed just watching. Of course, being part of The Ritz-Carlton family usually means doing more than simply observing. The preparations for an elaborate Indian wedding that coincided with my visit to Washington, D.C., were intense - from arranging the elephant's entrance to orchestrating the signiﬁcantly smaller details of the event, every lady and gentleman at the hotel pitched in to make it happen - myself included.
