In 2006 NMMC-Tupelo received the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award for innovative practices, a commitment to excellence and outstanding results. This award is a symbol of world-class performance and is the nation’s highest Presidential honor for organizational performance excellence. NMMC is a participant in QUEST (Quality, Efficiency, Safety, with Transparency), a national initiative sponsored by fellow 2006 Baldrige recipient Premier. NMMC benchmarks its quality measures against the very best hospitals and health systems in the United States. This collaborative effort enables NMMC’s physicians, nurses and analysts to learn from those with the best results in patient satisfaction, cost of care NMM and appropriateness of care. Our Quest Is Quality
In 2008 NMMC was ranked among Thomson Reuters 100 Top Hospitals. NMMC is one of only 23 nationally and the only one in Mississippi to receive the new Everest Award for National Benchmark Winners which recognizes overall organizational performance. But even the best isn’t good enough when you’re focused on doing better. So while the recognition NMHS has received is encouraging, it helps us realize that we always have opportunities for improvement.
