Using His ood G Talents for CLUE: A KNEE BRACE WHAT IT MEANS: Previous injuries don’t stop Harmon from getting his workout on. It wasn’t just awards he left college football with; he has an abducted knee, caused by an on-the-field injury. It means his knee has moved outward from the midline of the body, causing a knock-kneed effect. Add to this a shoulder that reportedly has been broken twice during two separate filming incidents. Certified personal trainer Michael Marsico, a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association, says that if he were training Harmon, he’d treat him the same way he would a 20-year-old: by using functional training. “It’s not discriminatory. Anybody at any skill or fitness level can do it,” he says. Functional training means creating exercises to strengthen muscles you use daily. The exercises mimic everyday life movements, such as picking up a child.
