Last year, more than 4,000 critically ill and injured people, from the tiniest newborns to the very elderly, were transported to medical care by Flight For Life Colorado. By the time it turns 40, Flight For Life will have transported more than 110,000 patients. Not one has been asked about insurance status or ability to pay. Annually, Flight For Life Colorado provides about $4 million in charity and uncompensated care. Teeing Off fOr a gOOd Cause Flight For Life Colorado’s 13th Annual Golf Classic at Sanctuary was hosted this June by RE/MAX, LLC. Two extraordinary days of golf helped raise money for Flight For Life’s medical equipment needs. In addition, this year’s proceeds from the tournament contributed to the purchase of a new Critical Care Transport ground ambulance—Terra 3. This new ICU-on-wheels will replace the one used in last January’s amazing Newborn Team transport from Middle Park Medical to Children’s Hospital Colorado. Each year, Flight For Life Colorado transports more than 1,000 infants and young children to lifesaving care at pediatric specialty intensive care units.
