W ith more than 25 years of experience, Alexander George Justicz, M.D., is a nationally renowned, board-certiﬁed cardiothoracic surgeon. An employee of the newly formed practice Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgeons–Gwinnett Medical Group, Dr. Justicz earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Harvard University, where he lettered in rowing. He completed his internship, residency and fellowships at Emory University-affiliated hospitals. After completing his fellowships, Dr. Justicz worked at Piedmont Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital of Atlanta, as well as Northeast Georgia Medical Center. He returned to the Atlanta area after two years as the lead cardiac surgeon at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Dr. Justicz specializes in open heart surgery and valve repair, and he is a highly demanded speaker at major medical conferences. His surgical expertise has given thousands of patients a second chance at life. When he’s not saving lives, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
