Motivating others Depp isn’t afraid to speak out about causes he believes in, and he has been known to take any opportunity to do so. For example, during his 2005 induction into the Walk of Fame, he wore a bracelet designed to raise awareness for the Children’s Hospice and Palliative Care Coalition, a social movement led by children’s hospitals, home-care organizations and hospices to improve care for children who have life-threatening conditions. Inspired by his commitment to children, a group called Johnny’s Angels: Depp Fans for Charity formed two years later with the goal of supporting the same charity. Since its inception in 2007, the group has raised more than $45,000. “Johnny’s Angels … is a meaningful way for Depp fans to honor an actor whose talent and humanity has inspired so many,” the group’s website reads.
