CMH CEO RECEivEs HOnORaRy DOCtORatE Donald. J. Babb, chief executive officer/executive director of Citizens Memorial Healthcare, was presented an honorary doctorate in business on March 26 from Southwest Baptist University in a special Founders’ Day chapel service. The doctorate was presented by Mike Stephens of Stephens Pharmacy and SBU President Dr. C. Pat Taylor. Babb’s wife, Carrie; daughter, Christina; and four grandchildren were at the ceremony, in addition to many CMH friends. To help decrease this eye-opening statistic, Citizens Memorial Hospital recently opened a free cardiac wellness program for individuals age 55 and older. The Stockton Cardiac Wellness Program is available at the Stockton Rehabilitation Clinic at 1521 S. Third St. Angela Barnes, physical therapy tech and fitness instructor, oversees the program and coordinates the classes. Cardiac wellness classes will be held Tuesday and Thursday mornings, free of charge to those who are 55 and older and have a signed physician release. Class size is limited and early registration is encouraged.
