The Tremain Family Hospitality House, located across the street from
the Carrie J. Babb Cancer Center at Citizens Memorial Hospital, opened
on June 2. The Hospitality House is an expanded service for oncology
patients receiving treatment and care at the Cancer Center.
The facility features six guest rooms and a kitchen, TV lounge, hearth room, dining room, covered porch and staff office as well as laundry
facilities and computer access. Each guest room has a handicapped-accessible bathroom and a refreshment station.
Staffed by trained CMH volunteers, the Hospitality House provides a place for patients and their family members to stay at a minimal cost.
The lead donation for the project was given by Juanita Tremain through the Tremain Family Trust.
