Supporting employees To further expand UNC Health Care’s work in the community, it created the Employee Ambassador Program, which is designed to help foster its employees’ volunteer efforts in their local communities. As Ambassadors, employees are eligible to earn a one-time donation of up to $250 for qualified 501(c)(3) organizations by volunteering 50 or more hours to one organization within a year.
