It was freezing cold that day and I was so sick with flu but I still went to the meet after washing and polishing my car. However, browsing through 82 pictures that you printed gave no results. There were 84 pics taken that day and you managed to print 82 of them. I don’t know who the other lucky person is, but I guess you didn’t have space to print another two small pics! Guess what? The meet, held at Subaru of Canada headquarters, boasted a total of 84 cars, making it one of the larger World Meets. Despite poor weather, the TSC still had an impressive showing of Subarus from mild to wild, like Tim Neil’s wide-body bugeye sprayed in textured, rattlecan gray by Tim in his garage. A large number of high-powered cars made the trek out, including member, Chris’ 12-second “Warwagon.” Innovative Tuning’s Mike McGinnis drove from New York State in his recently-built, rst-gen swapped Impreza dubbed “Voltron.” Prizes from Group A, Subiesport Magazine and Toronto Subaru Club were drawn out to the membe that showed awn members on the cold, blustery Saturday afternoon, after which TSC’ers retreated to the n, warmth of their cars and broke off to get a hot drink and so socialize with likeminded Subie owners. I was reading your 2007 June artical “STI VS ZERO” well my car is indeed a zero as mine is in the Middle East with a tiny “1.6L motor with 105 HP” it’s a great car it takes a beating form the roads there and drifting is only possible going into a turn on sand. I am a mechanic from Canada and i was just wondering in your artical your resident tuner Tim Baily was playing around with the ECU remapping it on C16 gas my Question is did you use the Cobb access port to tune the stock ECU or is the one in the car a after market. Because the Car is a N/A like mine and i do plan on installing nos on my car in the middle east and i want to remap the car for the different gas there but when i email COBB they told me you can’t remap the car unless it’s a turbo b.s i say if you can remap the ECU it shouldn’t matter it should be able to do my ECU as well your input would be much appreciated in my quest to tune my car to tear up the middle east streets and Sand Dunes - Steve Allam Ed: Steve, Cobb is indeed correct as currently we are unaware of any reflash programs or products available, like the AccessPORT, for the 1.6-liter Impreza. Your best bet is to pick up a good-quality piggyback like AEM’s fuel and ignition controller or the Greddy eManage. The issue is that Subaru tends to use a different ECU for each new year and model of car, so a 2004 WRX ECU is different than that of a 2005 Legacy necessitating a completely different product for each generation of ECU, hence, no reflash for your 2007 1.6-liter Impreza.
