Biotechnology Healthcare - July/August 2008 - (Page 56) CALL FOR PAPERS BIOTECHNOLOGY HEALTHCARE publishes peer-reviewed articles for decision makers at third-party payer organizations; employers and other healthcare purchasers; and those who have a stake in the clinical, economic, benefit design, and health policy implications of biologic medicine. Through balanced coverage from a variety of perspectives, we strive to educate readers in a way that enables them to make informed value judgments and decisions about biopharmaceuticals and molecular diagnostics. We publish feature articles on such topics as biologic therapies and diagnostic capabilities; clinical outcomes and cost effectiveness; benefit design and cost-management strategies; effects of treatment on employee productivity; and issues related to patient access and affordability. We also welcome essays, review articles, and original research from qualified experts in biotechnology, specialty pharmacy, managed care, and employee benefits whose experience can be instructive for payers, purchasers, and policymakers. David Nash, MD, MBA, the Dr. Raymond C. and Doris N. Grandon Professor and chairman of the Department of Health Policy at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, leads BIOTECHNOLOGY HEALTHCARE’S editorial advisory board. Nash has enrolled a distinguished panel to review manuscripts for publication. BIOTECHNOLOGY HEALTHCARE is indexed in CINAHL and International Pharmaceutical Abstracts.
