Antonopoulos, PharmD, is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Long Island University; a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Internal Medicine at the Department of Veterans Affairs, New York Harbor Healthcare System in New York, New York; and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medicine at New York University’s Langone Medical Center. A graduate of Bouve College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences at Northeastern University, Dr. Antonopoulos completed her residency in pharmacy practice at the New York Harbor Healthcare System. In addition to lecturing in pharmacotherapeutics, she currently serves as a preceptor for pharmacy doctoral candidates and pharmacy practice residents in internal medicine at the Manhattan Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Antonopoulos has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals and has also contributed Drug Forecast articles to P&T. She has presented numerous poster and podium presentations, both locally and nationally, and has delivered several ACPE-accredited continuing education presentations for pharmacists. She has served as a judge for the local American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Clinical Skills Competition and American Pharmacists Association (APhA) Patient Counseling Competition. She also serves biannually as an evaluator for Part III of the New York State Pharmacy Licensure Examination. Her professional memberships include the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the American College of Clinical Pharmacists, and the New York State Council of Health-System Pharmacists. She is currently a faculty advisor for the students at Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy for the following pharmacy student organizations: American Pharmacists Association–Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA–ASP), National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA), American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) clinical discussion forum, Lambda Kappa Sigma (LKS) pharmacy fraternity, and the Hellenic Student Society (HSS). Dr. Antonopoulos is involved with research in cardiovascular disease prevention, with a particular focus on medication adherence in patients with hypertension, as well as in patients with diabetes and hyperlipidemia. Alan Caspi, PhD, PharmD, MBA, is President of Caspi & Associates in New York, New York. Dr. Caspi was formerly Director of Pharmacy at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York for 20 years. Among his many honors, he has received the Merck Sharp & Dohme Award for Outstanding Achievement in Pharmacy and the President’s Award from the New York State Council of Hospital Pharmacists. He served as Affiliate Associate Clinical Professor at St. John’s University College of Pharmacy and as Adjunct Clinical Instructor at the Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences of Long Island University. His memberships have included the New York State Council of Hospital Pharmacists and the American Pharmaceutical Association. He has also been recognized as a Fellow of the American Society of Hospital Pharmacists. Dr. Caspi has served on the Editorial Advisory Boards of The Pharmaceutical Biotechnology Monitor: Biotechnology Issues for the Pharmacist and Global Medical Communications. He currently serves on the Editorial Board of P&T and coordinates the journal’s Drug Forecast department.
