The Indiana Health Information Exchange, an Indianapolis-based regional health information organization, has named Gregory Larkin, MD, as chief medical officer. MedcomSoft Inc., a provider of electronic health records, has appointed James Haveman, former health and human services expert to the Iraq Coalition Provisional Authority, to the MedcomSoft healthcare advisory board. Emageon Inc., a medical information technology systems provider, has named Chris E. Perkins as chief operating officer. SunBridge Healthcare Corp., a subsidiary of Sun Healthcare Group, Inc., has appointed Deborah Haugh as senior vice president of business development. Kaiser Permanente appointed Daniel Edmonds-Waters as vice president, Health Plan Business Performance Management and Sales Operations. Picis has appointed Melissa Cruz as its executive vice president and chief financial officer. R. Aleman as chief executive officer of Tenet’s Hialeah Hospital, a 378-bed acute care hospital in Florida. SureScripts announced that president and CEO Kevin Hutchinson would leave the company at the end of January. SureScripts’ chief operating officer, Rick Ratliff, will serve as acting CEO. Standards development organization Health Level Seven has named three individuals to its newly expanded board of directors.
