Respondents were likely to believe the Obama administration will be successful in the healthcare IT arena. Forty percent of respondents believe the Obama administration will move forward in a new direction (compared to the Bush administration) that will have a positive impact on healthcare IT adoption. Most respondents also responded favorably with regard to President-elect Obama's proposed plan to spend $50 billion on healthcare IT adoption over the next five years. Nearly three-quarters believed this level of investment will advance healthcare IT adoption.
