The campaign – designated “It’s HI Time, America!” – encourages Americans to create and maintain comprehensive PHRs that contain the information need- “personal health records saVe the lives of some and improVe the lives of everyone.” – Linda Kloss ed to make important medical decisions. AHIMA will direct its message to caregivers, maturing adults, parents raising chil- dren and individuals managing chronic conditions. “We view quality health information as an essential element to quality healthcare,” said Linda Kloss, AHIMA’s chief executive officer. “As professionals who work with health information every day. Here’s what we know in our heart to be true: Personal health records save the lives of some and improve the lives of everyone.” Kloss said AHIMA is using various elements to raise consumer awareness about introduces the collection and organization of personal health records. The program will be supported by national radio and television public service announcements featuring television personality John Walsh.
