As a result of Mr. Sheth's efforts, the Southern California Chapter was also recognized as a Presidential Level Chapter. “In two years, our Chapter Advocacy Liaison representatives have demonstrated through words and actions their commitment to strengthening the advocacy program at the state and federal level,” said Emma Cartmell, chair of HIMSS' Chapter Advocacy Liaison Roundtable (CALR). “George is an exemplary example of how one person can not only make a difference himself, but how one person can inspire others to jointly work together to make a difference.” Mr. Sheth, executive director and healthcare practice leader at General Management HIMSS names 2007 Chapter Advocate G Resources, is the second CALR member to obtain the 100 points necessary to achieve Presidential Level recognition. The program is designed to be flexible, allowing Chapters with different levels of experience to fully participate at an appropriate level–Advocacy, Ambassador and Presidential.
