HIMSS has developed unique education sessions for business financial systems professionals, emergency responders, supply-chain professionals and critical access hospital providers. For those who work in the financial and business side of healthcare, HIMSS08 offers education sessions on data management, regulation and compliance, outsourcing, practice management and return on investment. HIMSS will also host a pre-conference symposium titled, Real-Time Financial Transactions: What This Means to You, which will explore the significant changes occurring in the way healthcare is being delivered and paid for. For supply-chain professionals, HIMSS and its Supply-Chain Management SIG, and the Association for Healthcare Resource and Materials Management designed the pre-conference symposium, Optimizing Supply-Chain Performance in the Enterprise, which covers the gamut of topics impacting those who work closely with CIOs. Critical-access hospital providers can attend sessions highlighting the optimization of their facility’s post-operative bed census and the improvement of indigent care while still controlling costs. The education programming for emergency responders includes sessions on leveraging mobile, emerging and enabling technologies to improve patient care. For more information on the new niche education programs, visit www.himssconference.org/education. ■ f the University of Pennsylvania • Moore Regional Hospital • Mercy Health System • Pinnacle Health System • Sarasota Memorial Hospital • S ter • St. Mary’s Hospital • University of Virginia Health Sciences Center • USC Keck School of Medicine • Shields Health Care Group • Radio he Ottawa Hospital • INTEGRIS Health • Saint Vincent’s Hospital • Central Dupage Hospital • St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center • Main Line ospitals • Skaggs Community Health Center • Bon Secours Richmond • Jennersville Regional Hospital • Forrest General Hospital • Middle Tenne gional Medical Center • University of Michigan • Bellin Health Systems • Ochsner Medical Center - Kenner • Health First, Inc. • Providence – LCM ces • Community Hospital • Catholic Medical Center • Doctors’ Center Hospital • Baylor University Medical Center • Naugatuck Valley Radiology • ital • NorthEast Medical Center • Memorial Hermann Healthcare System • The Health Care Authority for Medical West • Boca Raton Commun ational Medical Center • Crozer-Keystone Health System • Duke University Medical Center • Elkhart General • Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hosp sity of Pennsylvania • Moore Regional Hospital • Mercy Health System • Pinnacle Health System • Sarasota Memorial Hospital • Southern Hills M Hospital • University of Virginia Health Sciences Center • USC Keck School of Medicine • Shields Health Care Group • Radiology Affiliates Imaging NTEGRIS Health • Saint Vincent’s Hospital • Central Dupage Hospital • St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center • Main Line Health • HCA Richmo CONTRIBUTING TO THE The following individuals generously contributed to the HIMSS Foundation in July and August.
