Health Insight Now automatically captures the user’s lab results, health history, pharmacy records, and claims data; identifies potential health risks based on this information; and recommends appropriate actions for staying healthy. Recommendations are based on guidelines from sources such as the American Cancer EATON, NJ – Society, The American Heart Association, The American Academy of Pediatrics and the Centers for Disease Control, among others. “This is a proactive technology that gives individuals an opportunity to maintain optimum health and organizations an opportunity to reduce health costs,” says Andrew Clayton, director of business development, Triveris. Patients have access to their records through a HIPPA compliant portal, where their recommendations are outlined in a single-page report. An interactive tool also allows for members to update their weight, blood pressure, family health histories, and other health measurements to view impacts on their health status, immediately. Health Insight Now is currently made available to corporations through third party administrators, brokers and insurance companies. The company plans to offer Health Insight Now as a personal online health record for individuals in 2008. MicroMD EMR features integration with the Pharmacy Health Information Exchange, operated by SureScripts, to provide electronic prescribing and refill authorization. “E-refills save time and money by reducing the volume of phone calls and faxes typically associated with refill authorizations. Pharmacies can send refill authorization requests directly and securely to MicroMD EMR. Physicians and other authorized providers can then return approvals or denials in seconds with a few mouse clicks,” said Ajit Kumar, PhD, general manager, Henry Schein Medical Systems.
