But physicians in three Massachusetts regions are showing how a jumpstart helped them overcome a big chunk of the cost and alleviate some of the pain. The Greater Brockton, Greater Newburyport and Northern Berkshire regions were able to implement an electronic health record system through Micky Tripathi funding from the Massachusetts eHealth Collaborative, a project launched in 2004 to Clinicians at North Adams Regional Medical Center prepare for surgery.
