As a part of RSNA’s global theme, a new scientific session called “Japan Presents” is being offered in conjunction with the Japan Radiological Society, said Maureen Morley, spokeswoman for RSNA. With more than 4,000 scientific presentations, education exhibits and informatics demonstrations, “there’s really a ‘can’t miss’ in just about every subspecialty,” Morley said. “Attendees have an incredible choice of topics based on their interests.” Morley highlighted some special focus sessions: “The New Reality of Combat Injuries, with Emphasis on Central Nervous System Trauma,” “Rationing of Imaging Services: Facing the Inevitable Crisis in Resources U.S. versus Canadian Perspective,” and “Covering the Emergency Department: 24/7.” As for topics, she said, “we are seeing more about quantitative imaging and biomarkers.” Morley said one very obvious change attendees would notice this year is the layout of the exhibition. “To help attendees see more in less time, we are expanding the technical exhibition into the Lakeside Center,” she said.
