Supreme President Visits Philly-area chapters; Makes West Coast Swing
Supreme President Nicholas A. Karacostas visited with chapters located in southeastern Pennsylvania and Delaware at a dinner-meeting co-hosted by Hercules-Spartan Chapter 26, Philadelphia, and Chapter 515, Radnor, Pa. Those two chapters were joined by: Chester-Delco Chapter 79, Media; Chapter 95, Wilmington, Del.; Chapter 432, Norristown; and Thermopylae Chapter 445, Upper Darby. The event was held January 19, 2010 at the Country Squire Diner in Broomall, Pa. The supreme president presented pins to the past chapter presidents who were present. In sum, more than 50 AHEPA family members learned about the exciting initiatives being undertaken by AHEPA. A Q&A session with the supreme president followed. Cary Mossaidis, Chapter 515 president, and Pete Chletcos, Chapter 26 vice president, worked with area chapter presidents to host the supreme president. John Kambouroglou, Chapter 445 president, and Armen Kailian, Chapter 79 president, supported the event. and parts of Nevada and Utah, February 13-18, 2010. AHEPA San Fernando Valley Chapter 412 hosted a dinner in Supreme President Karacostas’ honor in Los Angeles. Supreme Governor of Region 8 Peter Triantafyllos, District 20 Governor Bill Lambropoulos, and District 20 Lt. Gov. John Kopatsis helped to organize the event at which more than 100 AHEPA family members were present. The supreme president continued on to San Diego where nearly 100 Ahepans were on-hand to meet and greet Supreme President Karacostas as he continued his west coast visitations on February 17. There, he briefed the audience and held an extensive Q&A session with the Brothers at the Athens Market restaurant. The Ahepans were especially enthusiastic about AHEPA’s Journey to Greece Program and the upcoming 88th Supreme Convention in Montreal. Supreme President Karacostas concluded his west coast visitation on

February 18 in Phoenix, Arizona. Three surrounding Phoenix-area AHEPA chapters, and the local Daughters of Penelope chapter, hosted a dinner reception at Alexi’s Restaurant at which 75 AHEPA family members gathered. The supreme president spoke about AHEPA’s direction for the immediate future and fielded questions. Brother Telis Evripidou of AHEPA Tri-City Chaper 454, Chandler, Arizona, helped coordinate the evening’s events and served as emcee. Members of AHEPA Chapter 219, Phoenix, and Chapter 462, Paradise Valley, were also in attendance. Supreme President Karacostas also officiated over the initiation of two members. Also in March, Supreme President Karacostas visited Portland and Seattle as part of the Northwest Regional Banquet weekend. At all of his visitations, Supreme President Karacostas was honored to have so many past supreme, supreme, district, and chapter officers present.
