The College is committed to an embracing evangelical spirit rooted in the Anabaptist, Pietist, and Wesleyan traditions of the Christian Church. Our mission is to educate men and women toward maturity of intellect, character, and Christian faith in preparation for lives of service, leadership, and reconciliation in church and society. HISTORY Messiah College selects its educators for their Christian commitment as well as their proven teaching ability. They hold degrees from more than 150 graduate schools in ve countries — including prestigious institutions such as Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University, and the University of Pennsylvania. Last year 429 students earned academic credit studying abroad in more than 30 different countries. • Within the past 10 years, Messiah College has produced graduates who have distinguished themselves as Rhodes, Fulbright, Carnegie, and Truman Scholars. Intercollegiate athletics at Messiah College sets standards for excellence in NCAA Division III college athletic programs.
