The new Eurocopter helo is described as a multi-mission aircraft suitable for SAR, EMS, homeland security and law enforcement, “top-of-the-line business and commercial aviation,” and, fitting for this year’s venue, transportation NEWSMAKER for oil and gas exploration and production. Also appropriate for Heli-Expo 2008 in Houston, Eurocopter is delivering the first EC225 twin for oil and gas industry use, to Louisianaheadquartered Era Helicopters. The EC225 is finding considerable use among Europe’s North Sea energy operators too, notably CHC, Statoil and Total. Turbomeca in America Engine leader boosts work in –Page 8 U.S. and Canada.
