No, Not Stocks, But a Sikorsky S-76 The S-76 has performed better than the stock market, says Sikorsky (Booth 1641) worldwide sales vp Steve Estill. “There is a great demand for preowned S-76s. “We offer to take them in trade (for new models) but we never get them,” he says. “They are always sold before they get here. The guys that bought S-76s have never lost a penny on their resale value.” Bell Praises Lord as Premier Supplier Bell Helicopter Textron (Booth 462) has recognized North Carolina-based Lord Corp, an adhesives and vibration control specialist, as a “Premier Supplier.” Requirements include AS9100 certification and delivering high quality materials on a 98% frequency rate or higher. The Premier Supplier program helps the helicopter manufacturer “identify and recognize suppliers that are contributing to the production of improved quality and quantity of Bell products.” A Bell 412 is shown here. RebTech for Med Trans Night Vision Bedford, Texas-based REB Technologies (Booth 4035) reports a contract to modify eight Bell helicopters for NVG (night vision goggle) illumination. The aircraft operated by Med Trans (Lewisville, Texas) include one Bell 206L-1 and seven Bell 407s. The NVG lighting upgrade using RebTech’s “Shadows” brand kits is to be completed by March. “The contract calls for all eight aircraft to be field modified at a number of locations including Tennessee, Texas and North Dakota,” said RebTech president Richard Borkowski. RebTech also offers NVG kits for Bell 205, 212 and 412, and Eurocopter AS350B2 (shown here), AS350B3, EC120, EC130 and BK117 helicopters.
