The company will invest up to $24 million to expand aircraft subassembly work, including construction of an $11 million facility at Muscogee Technology Park. The 100,000-sq ft building is slated to be completed in August 2008. Cessna’s Columbus facilities manufacture detail parts and assemblies for the entire Cessna line, along with McCauley propellers. Cessna plans to spend an additional $13 million over the next two to three years to add machinery and introduce new technology at all three Columbus buildings. The company will add up to 150 jobs over the next five years. 50Dash4 Upgrade for the Falcon 50 Premier Aircraft of East Alton, IL, is debuting its 50Dash4 performance upgrade at NBAA with two newly converted airplanes on show. The upgrade, which was STC’d in January, gives the Dassault Falcon 50 greater range/payload, shorter time to climb, higher initial cruise altitude and reduced runway requirements from high/hot or short/hot airports. EASA certification is expected in the fourth quarter. The aircraft on display here are s/n 094, newly delivered to owner/operator Chick-fil-A, and s/n 170, owned by Yankee Pacific Aerospace and available for purchase. Premier is at Booth 7039. Hangar Expansion at TAC Air TAC Air (Booth 805) is expanding hangarage at two of its FBOs. First to be completed will be a 25,000-sq ft hangar at Tyson-McGhee Airport in Knoxville, TN that will serve growing demand due to healthy general aviation growth in the East Tennessee area. Also underway is new hangar construction at Centennial Airport near Denver, CO, which is one of the top three busiest general aviation airports in the country. TAC Air will soon begin construction on a new 35,000-sq ft hangar that will be the largest single hangar at the airport when completed in spring 2008. Flight Options’ Aircraft Management Services Fractional operator Flight Options, LLC is now offering whole aircraft management services in addition to Fractional First ownership and JetPASS membership. The updated look makes them even more approachable. TAC Air is known for helping its customers with a “passion for service,” and now the representatives will have a stylish boost when they assist customers with fueling, catering, accommodations and other services, according to the company. Look out for the TAC Air reps in their new uniforms at TAC Air’s Booth 805 in Hall C4. Pueblo Development Under Way Pueblo Memorial Airport in Colorado has completed development of a new commercial hangar and 16 custom sites to be built in three phases. Phase 1 includes new ramp space and taxi lanes as well as all utilities for the first 22,500-sq ft hangar, which is available for immediate occupancy and can house aircraft up to Boeing 737 or Global Express size. It also features 4,000 sq ft of attached office space. All sites have direct taxiway access to the airport’s runways, in addition to being adjacent to U.S. Highway 50 and five miles from Interstate Highway 25, the region’s main north-south artery. http://www.jet-professionals.com
