N BA A 2007 Iridium Sets Blistering Pace As CEO Learns the Ropes At last year’s NBAA Convention, CEO Matt Desch had been on the job for only a few days. “This year, I actually know a little bit,” he jokes. One thing he knows for sure is that the company is adding subscribers at double the rate of a year ago, and the aviation market continues to be a significant part of Iridium’s revenue picture. Dassault Falcon Jet Goes EVAS EVASWorldwide (Booth 6051) says it has completed an agreement whereby Dassault Falcon Jet will equip all its demonstration aircraft with EVAS. The company’s Emergency Vision Assurance System is a simple but proven cockpit smoke displacement system that assures flight crew of a secure defense against heavy, continuous smoke emergencies that might otherwise result in disaster. Smoke in the cockpit is ranked third highest on the list of causes of fatalities. The system provides an inflatable flexible bag that creates a path for clear vision between the crew’s eyeballs and the instrument panel.
