Custom Rack Design and Testing
We provide certified load testing
Mighty Hook is proud to introduce North
America's first and only certified load testing
machine engineered exclusively for testing our
engineered and manufactured hangers, hooks and
racks . The proprietary load testing station
employs aircraft quality components and state of
the art electronics to provide the capability of load
testing up to 10,000 pounds of force . The unique
design of the testing station gives Mighty Hook the
capability of either single point or fully distributed
load testing on hangers and racks of all types .
Our state of the art electronic load cell provides
graphical data analysis of load stress during
testing . All capturing and logging equipment is
calibrated to ASTM and ISO standards (IO-CFR-21,
O/IEC 17025, ISO 10012-1, MIL-STD 45662A
and ASTM-E74) . Load testing can be performed
for working load limit (proof testing) with safety
factor per ASME B30 .20-2010, ASME BTH-1-2011
or your preferred safety weight load limit
requirements . Testing can also be configured to

provide failure mode analysis up to the testing
station limit . Upon request, documentation and certification of weight load limits
with testing data per required specifications may be provided .
With this new and exclusive capability, Mighty Hook also introduces a
revolutionary concept for its customers: SAFE REPLACEMENT . Most coating
hanger components are subject to extreme temperatures and temperature
swings (i .e . curing and stripping temperatures between 250°F and 1500°F) .
With constant exposure to these temperatures the load bearing qualities of
metal hanging hardware are gradually reduced . Until now, if a hook looked
like it was starting to bend or a rack appeared to distort under any load, then
it was time to replace . With our new testing capabilities, we can work with you
to develop a hook, hanger or rack replacement program based upon actual load
testing data collected to determine the optimal timeframe to replace your hanging
hardware before it becomes unsafe for your workforce or fails and drops parts .
