The Seashell complex includes a band shell amphitheater, public information services, comfort station and first aid. Activities in the park include swimming, fishing, picnicking and RV camping with full hook-ups at the campground. Splash around at Hampton Beach. Chief of Lifeguards Jim Donahue Hampton Beach +48yrs childhood summers on HE SPENT HIS the shore of Hampton Beach and so it made sense that, when he was old enough, Jim Donahue would return each season as a lifeguard. Last year marked his 48th summer safeguarding the waters and Donahue says he still gets a tremendous amount of enjoyment from his surroundings. He’s been to thousands of beaches and Hampton, the chief of lifeguards says, has the best expanse of sand and is very clean. “You don’t have to step gingerly on rocks and pebbles – it’s just a sandy, beautiful beach, Donahue says. ” DONAHUE’S FAVORITE EVENT ON HAMPTON BEACH Come for the annual Seafood Festival – “great food, great fun,” according to Donahue. It has been voted one of the top 100 events in the U.S. by the American Bus Association, and as many as 150,000 people come to eat seafood from 50 area restaurants.
