Dinner date with a difference For a more in-depth look at the marine life off the coast of Florida and further afield, head to The Florida Aquarium in Tampa where sharks, puffer fish and a whole host of other sea life swim around behind fortified glass. Should you wish to get even closer to these marvellous creatures then head to Theater of the Sea between Miami and Key West. An attraction that specialises in animal interaction, Theater of the Sea lets visitors take a dip with real-life bottlenose dolphins. W hen Disney and Universal close their doors for the evening another Orlando speciality comes alive. Dinner shows are firm favourites with the theme park crowd and there’s a dazzling array of performances on offer as well as ample portions of food. Enjoy some Tennessee home cooking at Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede, marvel at the equestrian skills of the horse performers at Arabian Nights or spend a night on the South Seas at Disney’s Hawaiian-themed Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show. Theatricals aside, they’re also a great chance to make friends with other diners – tables often have a communal feel and you’ll find yourself swapping theme park tips with fellow guests.
