Music director/conductor Janita Hauk is one of fewer than 40 female conductors of adult symphony orchestras in the U.S. The Punta Gorda Historic Railroad Depot, now an antiques mall and a museum, was built in the 1920s as a station for the Atlantic Coast Railroad. It’s listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
