Seen around buoys, pilings and wrecks. In season during spring and early summer. Flounder Paralichthys albigutta Bottom dweller. Found inshore on sandy or muddy bottoms, often ranging into tidal creeks. Occasionally caught in rocky reefs near shore. In season during summer and fall. King mackerel Scomberomorus cavalla Commonly found in outer reef areas. In season all year, with a peak during summer. Mangrove snapper Lutjanus argentimaculatus Juveniles found inshore in tidal creeks, mangroves and grass beds. Adults generally found near shore or offshore in coral or rocky reefs.
