Now in its 15th season, the Fall Art Tour celebrates the work and lifestyles of some of Wisconsin’s best-known artists who live and work in the scenic hills and valleys stretching from Mineral Point to Baraboo. Fifty or more artists open their studio doors and demonstrate their craft. You can visit with them and watch works of art being created before your eyes in a unique opportunity to connect the art with the artist. Your purchase of artwork will become a treasure for years to come. 12 Potters and painters and glassblowers and woodworkers, photographers and sculptors, quilters, goldsmiths, fiber artists and printmakers, have all been preparing for your visit. And then there are the studios – unique studios that are places of inspiration in themselves – an historic brewery, restored downtown buildings, an old schoolhouse – just too mention a few. The event is free and self guided. Maps are available and signs will direct you to all the locations on the tour. Information is available at each community’s tour headquarters, the Chamber office, or any participating gallery.
