The Market has grown considerably in the last few years and become one of the best in the area. THE WISCONSIN HIGH SCHOOL REGIONAL RODEO. Held the second weekend of August (August 9-10, 2008). Twelve exciting events and specialty acts are held in two arenas at the Fairgrounds in Mineral Point. IOWA COUNTY FAIR. The last great celebration of summer! Every year on Labor Day weekend, Thursday – Monday, you can join people of all ages at the fairgrounds in Mineral Point. The Iowa County Fair is one of the oldest county fairs in the Midwest. 2008 marks the 152nd year of providing good old-fashioned entertainment – with many free events. Grandstand shows, exhibits, carnival rides, tractor pulls, harness races, demolition derby, and more are planned each year.
