BRUNCH,
LUNCH &
BEACH EATS
FOR BLOODY MARYS WITH
OCEAN VIEWS
Weekend brunch doesn't get any better than
the buzzin' scene at Social Tap, just a halfblock from the beach in the South Seaward
Area. Sit on the outdoor patio, build your
own Bloody Mary at the DIY bar, and recover
from the previous night with the hearty
Breakfast Burger, with Applewood-smoked
bacon and egg. You'll be back to 100 percent
in time for Sunday Funday.
FOR THE BEST BEACH PICNIC EVER
The Jolly Oyster, also known as the "Shuck
Shack," is a waterfront food truck at San
Buenaventura State Beach Park, and it's
an absolute must-eat while in Ventura.
Order clams or oysters on the whole shell
and they'll show you how to shuck, cook,
and enjoy. BYOB and don't forget your
picnic basket. Swing by Paradise Pantry
downtown on your way to the beach and
stock up on picnic essentials, like a bottle
of crisp rosé, a wedge of gruyère, and a
loaf of French bread.
FOR TAQUITOS, TAMALES,
AND TEQUILA
It's always five o'clock somewhere at Casa
de Soria, a local's fave since 1958. Start
with the Casa Classic margarita, made with
Patron Silver, Grand Marnier, and freshsqueezed citrus. The lengthy menu has all
the favorites - burritos, sopes, carnitas,
and more.

FARMERS'
MARKET FINDS

From citrus and
avocados to fresh
strawberries and
lavender, Ventura
County has a rich
agricultural history
that still thrives
today. Sample the
local bounty at the
Saturday morning
farmers' market in
downtown Ventura,
featuring nearly
50 local farmers
and food vendors.
Looking for the
perfect souvenir? Take
home a bottle of pure
unfiltered honey from
Blue Ridge Honey
or Organic California
Coastal Estate Olive
Oil from Buon Gusto
Farms. And if you
miss the Saturday
market, stop by A&F
Country Market, a
charming roadside
stand stocked with
locally grown produce
and specialty gifts.

FOR AWARD-WINNING FISH TACOS
There are no shortage of fish taco options in Ventura, but
Spencer Makenzie's are consistently voted Ventura County's
best. Try for yourself and order their World Famous Fish
Taco, topped with cabbage, cilantro, bell peppers, and
special sauce.
FOR A SLICE OF WELL-EARNED PIZZA
Pull up a chair and order a slice at Tony's Pizzaria. Right down
the road from Surfers' Point, this institution's been serving
hungry surfers since 1959. Keep the beach vibes going and
order the pepperoni and pineapple. While you wait, try your
(steady) hand at the life-size Jenga game.
FOR TROPICAL COCKTAILS
End your day at VenTiki and be transported to an island oasis,
where the tiki-bar vibe is as strong as the cocktails - Mai Tais,
anyone? If you get hungry (and you will), the Hawaiian menu
is the perfect complement for the end of your day in Ventura.
Be bold and try the Spamageddon, a trio of fried Spam sliders
on Hawaiian rolls with spicy mayo and cheddar.
