Admiral Ryan, a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, has commanded aviation units at the squadron, wing and fleet levels. At Headquarters U.S. Navy, he directed the Navy’s Office of Legislative Affairs and served as the 52nd Chief of Naval Personnel before retiring and assuming his current position in September 2002. col. steve strobridge, usAF-Ret. On active duty he served as Director, Military Personnel Management in the Office of the Secretary of Defense and as Chief of the Air Force Entitlements Division for all military compensation, retirement and survivor benefits issues. He has served as CoChairman of the 35-association Military Coalition since 2001. Joy Dunlap, usAF spouse Military Family issues. A former vice president for the National Association of Broadcasters, Joy is an award-winning journalist and marketing executive with more than two decades of newspaper, magazine and radio experience, combined with military community volunteerism. Married for 25 years to an active duty officer, Joy independently created an e-letter that keeps hundreds of military spouses up-to-date. She currently serves on The Military Coalition committees on MWR, base realignment/closure; and personnel, compensation and commissary matters.
