He served as chief of the Military Personnel Policy Division, Headquarters USAF, and chief of the Personnel Services Division for the Joint Chiefs of Staff. While there, he worked with MOAA to win Survivor Benefit Plan coverage for survivors of service members killed on active duty. Mike also compiled over 2,800 flying hours as a B-52 instructor radar navigator and has commanded an Air Force recruiting squadron. He co- chairs The Military Coalition’s Retired Affairs Committee. coL Bob Norton, usA-Ret. Guard/Reserve and Veterans issues. During Bob’s military career, he served in the Office of the Army Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel; as advisor to the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Manpower & Reserve Affairs), and as personnel policy and plans officer for the Chief, Army Reserve. Bob also served in the Office of the Secretary of Defense where he implemented the Reserve Montgomery GI Bill. He served as the senior military assistant to the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs. He co-chairs The Military Coalition’s Veterans’ Affairs Committee and is a member of the VA Secretary’s advisory panel on educational benefits. col. Phil odom, usAF-Ret. survivor Benefits, tax issues, social security. Phil served 27 years as an Air Force personnel officer. He has been a mission support squadron commander and Chief of Personnel Policy and Plans at Headquarters U.S. European Command. He also served as Chief of Retirements and Separations at the Air Force Personnel Center and as Chief, Force Management Policy at Headquarters USAF in the Pentagon.
