If you can arrange a meeting with your legislator, it helps to bring a one-page memo outlining your views, or a copy of your letter(s). We’re happy to provide any material you need to make your visit successful. • Take a knowledgeable friend or two to show constituent support. Thank the legislator/staffer for his/her time and keep your comments brief and focused. • Alternatively, many legislators hold town meetings, at which you can stand up to ask a question or to request their support on an issue.
