Company A, 478th Civil Affairs Company, 3rd Civil Affairs Battalion, attached to 1-33rd Cavalry Regiment, coordinated transportation and helped fit the disabled children with the wheelchairs at the Civil-Military Operations Center in the Radwaniyah Palace Complex in Iraq. “I can’t imagine what it must have been like having to carry your child around from place to place,” says Army Capt. James Phillips, M.D., 1-33rd Cavalry Regiment battalion surgeon. “I’m just glad we’re able to do something to help.” Some of the children’s conditions have yet to be officially diagnosed, but the children all require assistance getting around. Without sufficient medical care or means to get necessary help, the wheelchair donations were a blessing to the families of these disabled children. University, which, beginning this summer, will extend in-state tuition rates to spouses and children of active duty servicemembers in any state.) If your state doesn’t continue its in-state tuition rates, urge your district’s state legislator to rectify this situation. (Your state legislature’s Web site has this contact information.) If you live in one state but vote in another, and that state discontinues the rate, contact that legislator, too.
