Roughly 80 percent of the individual augmentees who have been called up by the Navy for the global war on terrorism have been reservists. If servicemembers encounter medical difﬁculties while on active duty and these issues are identiﬁed post-mobilization, we use every asset the Navy or TRICARE or both have to help them get well again. — Leslie Shively Make Some Money I n a pilot program, the U.S. Army has doubled bonuses to $2,000 for retired soldiers who refer someone with no prior military experience to the Army Referral System. The bonus is paid in two lump sums. The ﬁrst half is paid when the referred soldier begins basic training; the second half is paid after the soldier graduates from onestation unit training or advanced individual training. The bonus is not retroactive; those who referred soldiers prior to Nov. 13, 2006, are eligible only for the $1,000 bonus.
