Spirit of Missouri OCTOBER 2006 California Council Hosts Statewide Rally T he California Council of Chapters (CAL-MOAA) is sponsoring the CAL-MOAA Rally 2006. It will be held Oct. 25-28 in Sacramento, Calif. This is the ﬁrst CAL-MOAA “convention” since 1999. The rally brings together all active, former, retired, and Guard and Reserve ofﬁcers in the proximity of the state capital for a variety of activities, including a visit to elected ofﬁcials and staff members, organized tours, exhibit hall displays, and other special events. CAL-MOAA’s annual meeting also will be part of the agenda. The Sacramento Chapter is the host chapter for this signature event. Rally headquarters will be the Lions Gate Hotel and Conference Center, 3410 Westover St., McClellan, Calif., (888) 866-7100. Activities and events are open to all MOAA members and anyone eligible for MOAA or MOAA auxiliary membership. Spouses, family members, and friends are welcome. It’s not too late to register.
