To keep you up to date on the dos and don’ts of your MonaVie business, here’s a brief synopsis of what’s new. SEcTION 5.8—GENERIc BuSINESS ADVERTISEMENTS When you advertise in a newspaper or other venue, remember that your advertisements may not contain references to MonaVie or its products, including açai. Also, do not use the MonaVie logo or bottle design, and refrain from making health claims. It’s time to get creative with your advertising! SEcTION 5.9—MEDIA AND MEDIA INquIRIES Refer any media requests to MonaVie’s corporate Communications department at media@monavie.com, or by calling 801-748-3153. Additionally, from time to time you will receive verbal statements or written press releases from our headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah; however, do not draft, publish, post on the internet, or otherwise disseminate this information to the media. You take care of the customers; we’ll take care of the media. SEcTION 6—A DISTRIBuTOR’S RELATIONShIP WITh ThE cOMPANY If you change the type of business entity you use in operating your MonaVie business (e.g., from an individual to a partnership), notify MonaVie immediately. This includes the addition or removal of business associates. Be sure a new Distributor Agreement form is signed by all parties involved and submitted to MonaVie’s Compliance department. If a spouse is added to an account, a copy of the marriage license is required. Section 6 also contains a new subsection on disparagement and non-enticement. In a nutshell, do not demean, discredit, or defame other companies and competitors of MonaVie or your fellow MonaVie distributors. Do not use financial enticements—or any other enticement for that matter—to persuade a distributor to jump ship and climb aboard your ship. Furthermore, do not disparage any approved Black Diamond sales tool or business building system. Black Diamond distributors who violate this policy face an automatic $10,000 fine. In other words, if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. SEcTION 7.2.1—INITIAL TRAINING Although we commend your generous natures, sponsoring distributors are not allowed to purchase the Starter Kit or pay renewal fees for an enrolling distributor. MonaVie will provide you many opportunities to be charitable; however, this is not one of them. SEcTION 8.5—PIcKuP cENTER ORDERS MonaVie does not permit an individual to pick up another distributor’s will-call order without written permission and picture ID, which must be delivered to the pickup center upon pickup and must contain the following components: • • To have your orders delivered to a MonaVie pickup center, simply select the pickup center of your choice at checkout when ordering from your Virtual Office. There is a 4.5% fee associated with all pickup centers in the United States. SEcTION 12.1—DIScIPLINARY SANcTIONS MonaVie now has the right to transfer or reassign a downline to another distributor’s organization as a disciplinary measure. SEcTION 14—REcLASSIFIcATION AND cANcELLATION By now, most of you are aware of MonaVie’s “Open Door Campaign.” Our Policies and Procedures now plainly state that MonaVie does not employ a non-compete agreement. Distributors who wish to participate in a competing network marketing business are free to do so; however, MonaVie distributors cannot recruit other MonaVie distributors other than those they personally sponsored. Complete guidelines regarding MonaVie’s non-solicitation prohibitions can be found in Section 6.3.1. SEcTION 15—DEFINITIONS This one’s fairly simple. The term “Open Sales Meeting” refers to any MonaVierelated gathering of five or more individuals.
