Held annually since 1954, the Snow Show has taken place in Las Vegas for the last 37 years. But in 2010, SIA moved to Denver to become the largest convention booking in the city’s history. “Our contracts were up for renewal in Las Vegas, so we decided to review our options,” Des Roches said. “The proposal from Denver fit our needs the best.” With 18,000 snow sports industry representatives from across the U.S., the event boasted 3,120 booths, more than 125 new exhibitors and more than 800 brands. Snowboard, cross country, snowshoe and many other snow-related apparel and accessory companies, retailers, resorts, associations and buying groups gathered in Denver for four days to promote and celebrate the industry.
