MPI’S MEETING GUIDE TO GAMING
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa

In 1971, two expatriate Americans opened up an
unlikely diner in a dilapidated London Rolls Royce
dealership. It served burgers, fries and a side of
rock ‘n’ roll. Now, nearly 40 years later, Hard Rock
cafes, hotels and casinos dot the planet—including
a spectacular version in the home of Western
Swing.
In August 2009, Cherokee Casino Resort, Tulsa,
revamped and rebranded as the Hard Rock Hotel &
Casino Tulsa, becoming the first Hard Rock Hotel
Hotel & Casino Tulsa. “For years, The Joint Las
Vegas has been known nationally for its concert
schedule, and now we’re bringing that same level of
entertainment to Tulsa.”
But there’s more to the Hard Rock than music.
Whoever came up with the phrase “Party like a rock
star” must have had the Hard Rock Casino in mind.
The atmosphere is electric, and the huge casino
floor is wired for fun with more than 1,900 of the
newest electronic games, like Mr. Money Bags, Triple
Double Diamonds, Video Poker, Xerxes Queen’s
Knight and Jungle Wild II.
Of course, there are plenty of traditional live table
games to keep things lively: Blackjack, 3 Card Poker,
Texas Hold ‘Em, Seven-Card Stud, Omaha, Bonus
Roulette and Bonus Craps.
The resort features a 19-story luxury hotel tower
with more than 350 rooms and suites. The recently revamped
accommodations are sleek, stylish and packed
with everything you’d expect from a modern hotel.
There are four dining venues, including Toby
Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill and McGill’s on 19, a
posh penthouse restaurant; and four bars and entertainment
venues including the Center Bar, which
features an 80-foot-long frozen bar top, and Friction,
featuring live music, urbane décor, a dance floor and
specialty drinks.
& Casino in Oklahoma and the seventh Hard Rock
Hotel & Casino in the world.
Here, you can relax in a luxury suite, tee off on
a championship golf course or rock the nightlife in
restaurants and live music venues, including the
recently opened The Joint: Tulsa.
“Tulsa has a great musical history, and we’re
excited to help create another chapter,” said David
Stewart, CEO of Cherokee Nation Entertainment,
which operates Cherokee Casinos and Hard Rock
Rounding out the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa
experience: An impressive 35,000 square feet of
total meeting space; a Hard Rock Store stocked
with Hard Rock Hotel merchandise and souvenirs; a
lavish swimming pool; and the Cherokee Hills Golf
Club, located adjacent to the property. The 18-hole,
70-par, 170-acre course was voted one of the top
five public access courses in Oklahoma two years in
a row by Golfweek magazine.
